Quick meal: roasted red onions and lamb

We all know how to make a lamb stake or lamb tenederloin, but the perfect taste is with red onions roasted for 15 minutes in the oven.


  • 150 g butter
  • 1/2 bunch fresh thyme or mint
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 red onions, halved


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix in a bowl the butter, thyme, mint, salt and pepper. Place the onions, cut sides up, in a single layer on a baking pan. Drizzle the butter-thyme mixture over and roast until soft and slightly caramelized, about 15 minutes.
